Project Description

This 1500 seat auditorium serves a variety of events including 4-H student gatherings, statewide teacher events, and church conferences. Design scope included the addition of a high output multi-speaker sound system with subwoofers, digital audio console, wireless microphone system, and extensive floor box and cable harness patchbay system. Challenges included the location of the control booth and a lack of space for equipment as would be expected in a sixty year old facility. These challenges were addressed by designing for portable control of the main sound console using an iPad interface and by developing a plan to enlarge the amplifier room located to the side of the stage.
