Project Description

55 Allen Plaza, in downtown Atlanta, is the regional headquarters of Ernst & Young.  55 Allen Plaza is a 568,000 square foot, Class A office building that was completed in 2008.

J&A Engineering designed the security and access control systems for the new headquarters building in downtown Atlanta.  Building Systems included intrusion detection, access control, CCTV surveillance, visitor management, executive security, optical turnstiles, and emergency intercom.  Gate controls and parking control systems were also developed for the property.  J & A Engineering staff worked closely with building developer Barry Real Estate and Ernst & Young corporate security staff.  One of the unique features of the project was to configure multiple security devices to stream to multiple Ernst & Young regional HQ locations.  The project created a central command center for the new high-rise building, and also allowed distributed control and monitoring through building network communications.
