Project Description
The Emory Healthcare Expansion Hospital Project is a new 9-story, 450,000 to 480,000 GSF Patient Tower project. The total construction cost for the project was ~$350 million dollars. The IT/Low voltage system budget was approximately $18 million dollars. All documentation including integrated BIM (Revit) files were created by J&A Engineering and utilized by construction team members.
J&A Engineering is responsible for the design of all low voltage systems including the nurse call systems, RTLS systems, wireless LAN and wireless telephone systems, public address/emergency notification system and telecommunication infrastructure systems. The telecommunication infrastructure systems included copper and fiber inside plant and outside plant cabling systems.
In addition, J&A Engineering is responsible for the design of all security systems including digital-based video surveillance systems, electronic intrusion detection, intercommunication systems, and access control systems.
