Project Description

The Nashville Music City Center sits on a 16-acre site and is a building of 1.2 million square feet, featuring a 350,000 square foot exhibit hall, a 57,000 square foot grand ballroom, 18,000 square foot junior ballroom, and approximately 1,800 parking spaces. The facility also offers 90,000 square feet of meeting room space including approximately 60 meeting rooms with 32 loading docks to serve exhibitors.

J&A Engineering was selected by Thompson, Ventulett, and Stainback Associates, Nashville-based Tuck Hinton Architects, and Moody-Nolan Architects to design the center’s telecommunication infrastructure systems.

The telecommunication infrastructure designed by J&A Engineering, LLC consisted of a complex-wide, multi-mode and single mode fiber optic cabling infrastructure system and category 6 copper infrastructure system. The project required 28 telecom rooms and a main telecom room sized to allow the flexibility for multiple carriers and service providers. J&A Engineering, LLC was also tasked with complete construction administration services for all aspects of the telecommunication infrastructure systems.
