Project Description

J&A Engineering, LLC was tasked with surveying and documenting all low voltage cabling infrastructure throughout the Marine Corp Air Station located in the Southeast area of South Carolina. The survey and documentation phase of the project consisted of below ground outside-plant, above ground outside-plant, and inside plant surveying throughout the 10 square miles of the Air Station. The inside plant work consisted of engineering surveys and documentation of approximately 125 buildings plus on-base housing, airfield, and aircraft hanger facilities. The outside plant work consisted of engineering surveys and documentation of approximately 50 manholes and over 125 utility poles. The 2nd phase of the project will involve upgrading every aspect of the communications infrastructure on the base.

All work was accomplished within NAVFAC, TIA/EIA, and NFPA standards.
